In 1996, Joseph Corsentino bought a Yashica 35 mm camera and
discovered his innate talent for photography. Completely self-trained, he
has nonetheless gathered an impressive body of works. He was named among Long
Island's top 5 black & white photographer in 1999 and more recently was
interviewed for the December issue of the Rim. Inspired by a dear friend Laura Lightfine, in 2000 Joseph created
an idealistic company called Artisan Imagery to promote art from the minds
of the independent spirits he surrounded himself with. He also embarked on
a long love-affair with fantasy art and now works to promote fantasy photography
as a legitimate form of fantasy art. In April 2004, Joseph moved to Los Angeles, California to "see
about a girl." He also made the dramatic decision to become a full time
photographer. Joseph continues to promote the creation of art, good times,
and camaraderie. His current goal is to publish a winged creatures art book and
tell his version of Faerie Lore. Contact:
